Why join BADIs?
The reasons include:
- Free meetings
We hold regular free meetings, six times a year, with one or more guest speakers, often from DSA. We are fortunate not only in being able to persuade many well known figures to come and talk to us, but also in how often our local DSA SEs and SE(ADIs) come to talk to us. Our list of past speakers is impressive.
- Membership of ADINJC
including direct email of news from ADINJC to your personal email address.
- Help in gaining further relevant qualifications
As an example, since 2002 we have been running our annual course of evening classes in preparation for the DIA Diploma in Driving Instruction examinations in the following Spring. The cost for the 2009/10 course (leading to the examinations in May 2010) is just £4 for each module attended.
- Insurance discounts
We have an arrangement with a major driving school insurer, who will give a genuine 5% discount directly to BADIs members.
- A wealth of knowledge, experience and qualifications
Our members are involved in ADI training, school ownership, truck and bus driving, the Fleet Register, business and IT matters, and are available at regular meetings, or by direct contact.
- Members Only website area
We maintain a small but developing password-protected Members Only area, with a range of information and downloads. It will also soon incorporate an email discussion forum.
- Free advertising
We are happy to provide information about our members' businesses for the public to browse. This even includes links to our members' own business websites.
We hope the above list will convince you. However, after all is said and done, the main reason to join BADIs is simply to get to talk to your colleagues, whether ADIs or DSA staff.
How to join
Download and print our promotional leaflet, which includes an application form. Membership costs just £15, with renewal due each 1 January. If you join part way through the year, a reduced fee applies at your first membership renewal.
